Looking after Your Inflatable Kayak

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

Inflatable kayaks can be great fun, are easy to store and transport and can be used in various types of water. They are also very stable and buoyant so they stay upright easily, which makes them ideal for the beginner. You can use them in calm water, in the surf even on whitewater so they are extremely versatile. You may have some concerns about their durability but if you don’t go for the cheapest and buy a good quality inflatable kayak it will be as tough as a rigid boat. For many people, unless you are a serious competitor, an inflatable kayak will prove the very best choice.

For storing your kayak for a few days make sure it is deflated and has no water inside then put it away safely. For longer term storage more care is required. It is best to store it only partially deflated and somewhere out of the sun, which will degrade the plastic material. If you store your kayak completely deflated and rolled up you will need to take care that there is no water inside. Water can enter the kayak through the tubes used for inflation or simply from condensation.

Glycolic Acid Anti-Aging Creams

Sunday, June 7th, 2009

Glycolic acid skin care products include anti aging creams with the acid usually incorporated in combination with further ingredients, for instance Coenzyme Q10 or retinol. Some people could have skin that is too sensitive to use a product containing retinol and glycolic acid in combination so be wary when using this type of product and try out on a small area, possibly on the inner arm, before using on your face. In addition be sure to use a sunscreen when using any retinol containing product during the daytime as this makes the skin more sensitive to the rays if the sun.
