Glycolic Acid Face Wash – What Are the Benefits?

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

A glycolic acid face wash can be used daily to give a lovely glow to the skin. Glycolic acid is a natural acid that is found in plants and fruit and at low concentrations are very safe to use. As well as face washes it can be found in other products such as chemical peels, moisturizers, skin softeners and exfoliating agents. Glycolic acid is one of the alpha hydroxy acids, which also includes lactic acid and citric acid. It is a very small molecule and for this reason is useful in the treatment of skin problems. As it is so small it can easily penetrate the deeper layers of the skin where it can then loosen the bonds that hold the surface skin cells together. This then allows the dead cells to be removed easily leaving you with healthy, fresh looking skin.

Raised Garden Kits – An Ideal Solution

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

If you are planning a new vegetable or flower garden this year you might want to consider using a raised garden bed. They have many advantages although they will initially cost more in either time, if you construct your own, or money if you buy a raised garden kit. However we believe that in the long run you will find that that they are worth the initial outlay.

Raised gardens are easier to maintain and plants generally grow better. In a raised bed, where you are not walking on the soil, compacting does not occur which can lead to problems with drainage and deprivation of oxygen to plant roots. weeding is also easier if the soil is not compacted.
