Oily skin tends to be more of a problem when we are younger as skin cells lose their ability to produce enough sebum as the skin ages. If you have oily skin you will have open pores, a tendency to pimples and blackheads and it may look shiny a few hours after washing. The good news is that oily skin has less of a tendency to develop lines and wrinkles than dry skin. Oily skin remedies are easy to make at home. We’ve found the best ones for you to try. After using any of these masks apply a little witch hazel.

Caring for Oily Skin – Twice a day cleaning and toning routine

Cleanse gently with a cleaner formulated for oily skin or a cleansing bar that is soap free. rinse with warm water. Use a suitable toner then moisturise where needed with an oil free moisturiser.

Brewers Yeast Mask Add some warm water to brewers yeast to make a paste then apply to the face. Leave for about fifteen minutes then rinse off with warm water.

Tomato Mask Mash some tomatoes and apply to the face. Leave for about fifteen minutes then wash off with warm water. This mask will reduce open skin pores.
